Am I the only one that saw the beginning of the epic Jay Lael story, got hooked and was waiting for the next chapter ? Now it has vanished into thin air - ??

Ishy, who would play Jay in the movie ? Neil Young could play Jay by the camp-fire singing and playing guitar but I am not sure about Neil's Trials riding skills ?

Thanks or noticing, Dave. Really it seemed like I was just annoying everyone (again). Since almost no one ever posts on this forum, I was hoping to idk, liven things up a bit. There are almost no COTA members left who remember 1976. I really cherish those of you who do.  I might just finish it after all, and when I do, I will e mail it to you directly.

JL, I thought it was awesome, thanks so much for sharing. Even though I did not have a drivers license in 1976 I am an old fart now but still remember those days, the cool bikes, riders and stories. I can't wait to read the rest of your story, hope you post it again and complete it, you tell a great story and there are plenty more I would love to read.

The great thing about a forum like this is if you don't like it or it does not interest you - no problem, just move on. Seems like there is so little traffic on the forum these days that it should not be an issue.

Plenty of great stories about the old days, folks like Jay Terry, Kary Krahel, Kevin Krahel, Mike Wirth, Kent Zimmerman, Duane Rinkes, should have a few good stories saved up. Over 30 years of epic stories just waiting to be told !

and now for the laugh of the day, my first trials at Jones Creek, Larch Mt. Wa. 1971. The bike a 1966 model 10 Sherpa T, I later mounted the front fender properly so it could collect mud as well as the rest of the group, helmet an option and we never had any brakes since more than half the sections were in the water.
