1  General Category / General Discussion / COTA Banquet and year end awards. on: December 12, 2018, 11:55:18 am
COTA Riders,

Please find the official 2018 year end results on the homepage  You have until 12-17-18 to contact myself or John Dabler if you see any changes that should be made. After that I will give these scores to Mike Wirth to make year-end trophies. Congratulations to all that placed in the top three for the Oregon championship in their classes.

I also need to send out a huge thank you for all of the Trials Marshals and all of their helpers that help clear sections to make all of this happen for everyone.  All of the events could not have happened without all of the hard work by all of the volunteers.

I would also like to thank both of the land owners that allowed us to hold events at their amazing properties: the Sweetens and the Krahel’s. We are truly blessed to have access to these property’s to hold these events on.

Thank you Kirk and John for all of your hard work and time that you put into the club to make all of this happen for all of the COTA riders. All of this could not be possible without all of your hard work and dedication to the club.

We will be having the COTA banquet at 5:00 pm on January 12th  2019 at Stark Street Pizza.
COTA will be providing pizza and soft drinks for everyone that would like to attended.

I also want to make it official at this time. I will be stepping down as president of COTA as of December 31st 2018. If you are interested in this position, please let myself or Kirk Wessels know and we can go over any questions that you might have.

We also need to fill the secretary and vice president positions for 2019 as well.  If you ever wanted to help in the club this is the year to volunteer.

Thank you
Brian

4  General Category / Events / Dallesport Event this Sunday on: March 02, 2018, 11:07:13 am
Hi Everyone !

This weekend is a go and it looks like the weather is going to corporate with us. It will be a bit cold in the AM but we are not expecting any rain this weekend or a very low chance of rain. We are going to do 8-10 sections and they will be set up as mixed lines. So we have both AM/PM riders in both sections.
If you would like to come up tomorrow and do a section please feel free to come up and help. Or if you simply want to come up and help the team that is setting up the event that would be great too. Hope to see everybody and we are looking forward to a great 2018 season.

5  General Category / General Discussion / COTA Banquet and year end awards. on: December 21, 2017, 01:56:34 pm

Hello fellow COTA Riders,

The 2017 year end results are up on the web for everybody to take a look at. I will give everybody until the evening of the 25th to let me know if you see something that does not look right. This year we made an exception to the club rules to give trophies to people that rode three events or more instead of five events. The club rules are you must ride five events and the club must have seven events to call it an official season for the club. If we did not make this exception this year we would have only handed out trophies in two classes this year.

Craig Chandler has asked to be nominated to Vice President and if everybody is OK with that he will be nominated into that position at the banquet. If anybody else would like volunteer for any other officer positions for the club please let us know before the banquet or at the banquet. We need someone to take over the COTA website and the Facebook page as a first priority at this year's meeting. If you are interested in one of these positions please let us know. Thank you Daniel Blanc for doing the COTA web site and we will get someone as soon as we can to take over that for you. We also need another person to take over the director at large position. Of if someone would like to be President I will move down to that position and back fill anything that needs to be done for the club.

I would like to say a big thank you to Kirk Wessells for being the club treasure and Jay Lael for doing the trials box. Theses two guys are doing the big bulk of the work for the club that nobody sees and without these two the club would not exist.

Thank you to John Dabler for taking on the Secretary position for the club as well. This should be excellent opportunity for you and David to engage in the club a bit more. And the fact that I consider you a friend I'm not letting you out that position anytime soon.

Thank you Mike Wirth for doing the awards for the club for the better part of 20 years now. Thank you to everybody that did events and thank you do those that are able to do events in the 2018 season. We are hoping the 2018 season is going to be the best one ever.

The year-end banquet will be on the January 13th at 6:00 PM  at **Flying Pie Pizzeria on 7804 SE Stark Street ,Portland, OR 97215 ** This is a new venue for us being as the other place is booked for the month of January on Saturday nights.

Thank you
Brian

COTA Riders
Just wanted to remind everybody that the Columbia Cup is this weekend up in Goldendale WA. If you would like to ride this event it does counts towards COTA points as long as you ride the same class that you would normal ride with COTA. We will pull the scores over to COTA after the event is over as soon as possible for those riders that ride this weekend . You can find the full event info at the PST home page   www.pugetsoundtrialers.com/

10  General Category / General Discussion / 1-31-2015 COTA Awards and Dinner on: January 09, 2015, 01:51:39 pm
Hi Everybody
Just wanted to say thank you for one of the best years that COTA has had in a very long time. This might have been one of the most epic years of Trials ridding that we ever have had. We truly could have not done it without the help of all the trials marshals. So a big thank you to everybody that helped put on events and people that were trials marshals for events. Thank you for your time and effort it was definitely worth all the hours on those weed whackers and clearing brush. And a big thank you to the COTA board members for all their hard work last year.
I could not do this without the help of Kirk Wessells & David Wertsch & Max Nelson for doing the scorekeeping for everbody. And a big thank you to Ken Levens for doing the Trials Box and Mike Wirth for doing the Awards again this year.
We are going to have the awards banquet on Saturday January 31st at 5:30 at El Papalote Mexican Restaurant in Oregon City. We will have plenty of food and drink there. The restaurant will be closed for outside business so it will just be the COTA crew. If you would like to bring alcohol drinks you are welcome to do so.
I’m going to keep club business to a minimum and if anybody is interested in a board member position please let us know. If you would like to do a trial we will be starting the calendar the same evening, so bring those dates . Hope to see everybody and help spread the word about the evening to hang out with friends and family.

Thank you,
Brian Clarke
