May 4 & 5, 2013 will be the tenth anniversary of The Columbia Cup Moto Trials. The City of Goldendale, WA with the cooperation of local landowners, welcome the riders every year to this fantastic venue for our annual event.

Goldendale offers some of the world’s premier rock and hillside sections, all sections are located on private land and on city property. Many of the sections on the city property are set in the shadows of the 2001 World Round sections. And all of the sections are within easy walking distance from the event site. With such excellent terrain the Columbia Cup offers sections that range from your local Novice level all the way to lines that are comparable to the National Pro level! Whether you are new to the sport and want to see what Trials is all about, maybe ready to ride your first event, or tuning up for the Nationals, the Columbia Cup is an event you don’t want to miss.

This year we will be offering a Kids Trials on both Saturday and Sunday. Last year it was such a hit with the kids and spectators that we had to run it both days for 2013. The kid’s area offers a safe riding area, close to the event site so the parents and spectators can keep an eye on the action. These little riders are the future of our sport so let’s all come out and support them! On Saturday the club will host a happy hour during the awards presentation, right after the kids sections are done, .

The Columbia Cup event site is on private property, just a couple of miles out of town, and will not be accessible before noon on May 2. There is primitive camping on a dry level pasture, with plenty of room for trailers and motor homes. There will be portable toilets, but no running water or power available. The site is close to town, so Goldendale’s hotels, restaurants and amenities are easily accessible from the event site.

We will continue to update you via the Puget Sound Trialers (PST) web site and follow the link to our Facebook page.

We look forward to having everyone attend, so mark your calendar for May 5 & 6 and start making those travel plans!
