So.... to keep things rolling along, maybe someone older than dirt can tell where this trial was. We only used this area once for an event, that is a deer skull in the middle of the falls and it is Rod Jackson on the bike.(hint) I was still riding my Miller Bultaco in Amateur class, I think the year was 1986 or 1987. Rod and I were the marshals.

I'm sure a lot of us have received this, but for those who aren't on the list... If you go riding in the next several weeks and see major trail damage drop them a line, what with the national coming up we are going to want the trails in the area in top shape and we will need to start early. mike Hi Everyone, What a blustery week it’s been out in the woods! We will be sending out notes in the coming days and updating the website as information comes in about any trail and road closures. However, there’s a lot of ground to cover and we need your help. If you are out and about in the Tillamook State Forest, please drop us a note or give us a call with anything storm damage or down trees you come across on the roads and trails. As always, thanks for your help! Stephanie A. Beall Recreation Coordinator Forest Grove District Tillamook State Forest 503.359.7464 http://www.oregon.gov/ODF/Recreation/Pages/default.aspx

Sure glad I had a great ride last Saturday, looks like monsoon this weekend. Bill, Bret and I just did some trail riding, 32 miles, at the new area on the Clackamas, they were on fast rippers and I was on my Reflex, they were nice and waited for me.

we got rain, TSF open again Hello, As of 0100 this morning we dropped out of level 3 to level 2. OHV trails are open and campfires are allowed in the campgrounds only. Remember to follow all fire regulations. No campfires outside of campgrounds, remember your fire tools and no smoking outside your vehicle. Bring a shovel and 1 gallon of water or a shovel and 2 ˝ lb. fire extinguisher in your vehicle while visiting the forest. Have fun out there and be safe. well I didn't post the one week that it was open, but here it is closed again for your info mike Hi Everyone, As you’ve probably guessed from watching the nightly reports of brush fires on the local news, fire danger is on the rise. With the forecast for rising temperatures and east winds, the IFPL (Industrial Fire Precaution Level) will be going to a LEVEL 3 at 1:00 AM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. For recreation visitors to the Tillamook State Forest that means, effective at 1:00 a.m., PDT, August 18, 2015 the OHV Trails in the Browns Camp, Jordan Creek, Diamond Mill, Trask and BLM Upper Nestucca OHV Areas will CLOSE and remain CLOSED for the duration of the IFPL 3. During the IFPL 3, OHV operation in the Browns Camp, Jordan Creek, Diamond Mill, Trask and BLM Upper Nestucca areas will be limited to travel on maintained gravel roads only. Additionally, the non-industrial (personal use) chainsaw wavier is rescinded as part of the IFPL 3 closure. I will send out another e-mail when the IFPL drops back down and the OHV trails re-open. I will also maintain the information on the TSF homepage. ( http://www.oregon.gov/ODF/Tillamookstateforest ) As always, feel free to drop me an e-mail or give me a call if you have any questions about the closure. Please help spread the word about the OHV trail closure. Thanks for helping to keep the Tillamook State Forest safe from wildfires!
