Hey Kids! Haven't stopped by in quite a while. Been busy with the kids racing GP and trying my hand at it as well. So, let's get to the reason for this post: Moab! Folks, if you haven't ridden your trials bike in/around Moab do it, do it now. Went down there on a "mancation" for a week. Third dirt bike trip to the area. Spent the first four days riding and crashing my trusty race bike. Come day-4, a large square-edged rock and my water pump got intimate. Fortunately, I brought my Beta along for such an eventuality. I can tell you the next trip to Moab, my race bike will be the backup steed. My Beta dominated the terrain. Not talking just Hells Revenge/Slick Rock area (which is the only place I used my Beta in the past), but on those long, brutal, hot desert rides as well. Silty sand, river rock, slick rock, and even established two-track were no match. So impressed was I with the Beta in this environment, I've already ordered up the Beta Long Ride Kit. Anyway, the point is, go to Moab (I especially like the Behind The Rocks area) and thank me later. Here is why you should consider doing this:
Yes, I forgot my trials helmet and my neck is still sore (and hot):
Letting my buddy, "Mr. Expert Class Racer," put a few scratches on my ride:
Didn't even consider trying this (a lot more vertical than it appears):

This is a very small sampling of what we rode down there (I didn't put my helmet cam on until day-4).
