Hi Everyone,

Spring is just around the corner and it’s time for our first OHV Trail Work Party.  We’re using our March 10th work party to start sprucing up the OHV trail network in preparation for the coming wonderful spring and summer weather!  (Positive thinking!)

This year we are asking for folks to RSVP to me for each work party so that we know we have at least five volunteers for each work party date.  If we don’t have at least five RSVPs we will cancel the work party by the Thursday before the work party date.  This policy is being put into place so we can keep Dave and Jahmaal working when and where they’ll be most effective.

There are two separate projects for the March 10th work party.  Details are below.

Saturday, March 10, 2012 – PROJECT #1 General Trail Assessment and Clearing Work

Location:          Volunteer Choice (Browns Camp, Lyda Camp, Jordan Creek, Diamond Mill)

Meeting Place: Rogers Camp

Registration:     9:00AM – 9:30 AM

Work:                9:30AM – 2:00PM

Project Description:

Bring your lunch, you favorite toys and some trail tools to help us get eyes on the entire designated OHV network and to help clear any debris from the winter storms.

Volunteers will meet at Rogers Camp at 9:00 AM to register and to pick their work areas.  We are asking volunteers to be back to Rogers Camp by 2:00 PM to check-in with ODF staff and to turn in their trail reports.

Saturday, March 10, 2012 – PROJECT #2 Trail Rocking

Location:          Trask OHV Area – Leroy’s Logjam Trail (8 miles up East Fork Trask Road)

Meeting Place: Trask County Park

Registration:     8:30AM – 9:00 AM (lead in from the park leaves at 9:00 AM)

Work:                9:00AM – 2:00PM

Project Description:

Bring your lunch, rakes, shovels and any ATVs that can haul rock to help put rock on Leroy’s Logjam Trail.

We hope to see you there!

Hi Everyone,

The weather has been beautiful over the past few days but it hasn’t been enough to melt the snow in the Highway 6 OHV Areas so we are making a change to the work party schedule for this weekend and are postponing the trail assessment / clearing portion of the work party but will be going ahead with the trail rocking portion of the work party in the Trask.

Details below.

This year we are asking for folks to RSVP for each work party so that we know we have at least five volunteers for each work party date.  If we don’t have at least five RSVPs we will cancel the work party by the Thursday before the work party date.  This policy is being put into place so we can keep Dave and Jahmaal working when and where they’ll be most effective.  Click on the RSVP link under the project to reply to either me (for March 17th) or Dave Hiatt (for March 10th).

Hi Everyone,

Due to the increasing amounts of snow, we are cancelling all volunteer activities for Saturday, March 17th.  We will be rescheduling the trail assessment work party for sometime in April.

Thanks to Flat Broke and Four Wheelin’, Cascade Cruisers, OMRA, and Northwest Tour and Trail for their support in agreeing to co-host the March work parties.

Cheers,
