Hey Gang, Please keep in mind, with the new 30 day advance notice of event ruling, all dates denoted as open in February cannot be counted as a COTA points scoring round as we're within the 30 day notice window.

Since we NEED more Club events on the calender this year the board members should be able to vote and make an exception to the 30 days once in a while so we can at least get one event in February if someone is willing to put one on can they? OPEN CALENDER DATES ONLY. While the 30 day notice rule is really a good idea, it may take a bit of time to get everyone on board with it.
If we don't have a small amount flexibility in how we schedule events right now, we may be in the same situation as last year with barely getting 8 events in. Remember - Right now if we have any cancellations, we can't make them up as a points events the following week - it would have to be a "fun trial".
I urge the board to take this into consideration and if someone is still willing to put an event on in February or in the future when it is just past 30 days out - it still be allowed via a vote from the board. What do you guys think?
Thank you.
David

It looks like there is a lot of great weekends blocked out that we cannot use for some reason. Can you please let us know why dates like March 13th and April 10th are not available?

The whole idea behind making available dates was to keep back to back points events from conflicting the same location so our event attendance would be better. Also it would be nice to allow members one weekend in between event to make up time with there family and more. I no that this is not possible with every date but it sure would be nice.

Just a quick FYI while we're discussing the calendar as it relates to conflicting dates, etc., the Diamond Mill Trial on April 24th coincides with Easter.

That was the only date Keith could provide to the club due to TSF schedule. I now we wouldn't want to take away from having as many event as we can, right.
Like I said in my post above "I no that this is not possible with every date but it sure would be nice."
